Well for those of you that don't know what I do during my days of not being on FFXI, I'm at college studying Theatre Production. This year is my last year, and as my final major project (fmp) I am the set designer (by choice) and I guess head of scenic construction.

So here is my set design in the model box that I have built up over the last 4 months or so, and some of the finished results so far.

This what the main construction will look like when its clad etc.

Pillars that kerry made and painted.

This is the panel/flat I was building, built it all from scratch with help from Neil who is our tech guy, otherwise it wouldnt end up straight lol. I painted it all though Smile It does have a door and shutters which will come in a later pic when ive taken it lol.

Here are some more pics of the set looking quite a bit more finished lol. Still got some painting left to do though which will hopefully (fingers crossed) be finished by the end of 2moz/today lol. Scary stuff seeing as the first show is Thursday afternoon :S

These are the banisters me and kerry painted, the first years cut them out with the help of Neil.

One of the masking flats that kerry painted, there are 2 the same but Zoe painted the 2nd one.

The 2 house flats which I painted the majority of.

This is the main structure nearly complete, just missing some pillars and a curtain.

More pics coming when its all completely finished, and prolly some of it lit by nice lights not our horrid worker lights lol.

Very cool! It must be a great feeling to see something turn from a concept to something as large as a stage.

Its nice coz everyone likes it and there hasn't been any major changes to it which is good lol.

However, my stress levels are through the roof for various reasons such as being short staffed as half my team dont seem to turn up when told to, and the actors just wont get out the theatre so we can finish and get it done so we can be out the way. Other then that Im fine lol. Can't wait for it to be done and over, the other shows after this are smaller so less work.

This so far has taken.....erm.....*counts*....4 months to go from idea to reality, and the show is only on for 2 days lol. All this work and effort for 2 days.... Least when I do this for a profession it will be up for months lol.

Lol there have been several empty paint pots. I think ive used about 15-20 litres of paint on this set lol. Still got quite a lot left though, nothing else to paint now really.

Big day 2moz!! The first show is at 2:30 and I may be doing sound for it, gives me something to do I suppose lol.
